Beige, Sage, and White

With a deep love of wine and some important, life-changing moments happening at wineries, it only made sense for this sweet couple’s wedding to be at a beautiful vineyard! When we first met Katie and Nick it was instantly apparent that their love for each other was deep and rich like a good red wine. (Corny, I know! But I had to!) After speaking with them and asking about their relationship, we found out that Nick had a super romantic side! The couple took a long awaited trip to Napa Valley for some wine tasting on California’s finest wine trail. They wined and dined and had a fantastic trip. Just when Katie thought things couldn’t get any better, the love of her life dropped to one knee and passionately asked her to be his beautiful bride. Of course she said yes! Sterling Vineyards in Napa Valley will always hold a special place in their hearts as they chose to spend the rest of their lives together while sipping wine in California.

When Katie and Nick decided to have their wedding and reception at our venue, A Place in the Vineyard, we knew that they would yet again have another vineyard to add to their wall of memories. We were so honored to have been chosen and wanted to make sure we did everything in our power to ensure a fantastically memorable day for them and their families. Judging by the happiness that spread throughout the venue and the joy emanating from these photos, I’d say the wedding day was a big success!

With simple elegance being the primary focus, Katie chose natural vineyard-like colors for her décor. Shades of beige, sage green and white adorned the dining tables and drew their guests into the natural grace of a Southern vineyard. A vineyard theme without purple, you say? Why of course! Grapevines are only lush with ripe, purple grapes for a few weeks out of the year but they are always green and gorgeous! With green as the main color, nature was definitely the star of the show! Even her bridesmaids, who are typically in bright colors, were in shades of soft beige. Everything flowed together smoothly and helped to tie together her theme of “vineyard elegance”.

I must say that one of my favorite details from the wedding were the bouquets. Designed by Willow Floral Boutique, these beauties accompanied the gowns and other décor seamlessly. With untamed greenery composing the bulk of the design, delicate white flowers added a pop of purity and cleanliness. These bouquets are what wedding dreams are made of!!

As Katie walked down the aisle toward her future, the whole crowd was filled with awe and love as this adoring couple said “I do.” Her gown was adorned with intricate lace and looked to have been made just for her. With its deep sweetheart neckline and a-line silhouette, Nick’s bride truly was a sight to see! Wouldn’t you agree? Take a look at some of our favorite photos from their big day and be sure to leave us a comment!
