Sage and Silver
Kendal and Matthew are one of those couples that fit together like a missing puzzle piece. Once you see them together and just how simply perfect they are, you’ll understand. The two of them have always been very active and love anything dealing with sports and outdoors, so it is only natural that they would meet while participating in one of their favorite hobbies, adult kickball. I had never really known until recently that this is a very popular sport/activity during the summer, an adult kickball league.
They compete against other leagues in scheduled matches. This one in particular was in Huntersville, NC where the lovebirds met. Matt couldn’t keep his eyes off Kendal. He thought she was absolutely beautiful. Once a conversation was struck Kendal couldn’t get over his kind and gentle personality. Fast forward 2 years and Matt is ready to take the plunge. He wants to continue enjoying life and all the fun things it has to offer with none other than the stunning Kendal. The next adventure and milestone happened at the US Whitewater Center in Charlotte North Carolina. They were on a hike with all of their dogs and he popped the question. Now the next question is, where to hold the ceremony?!?
The Wedding Date
Spring is a gorgeous time of year here at the vineyard. The trees are in bloom and the vines are looking chipper and green from their winter slumber. The little buds are starting to show and all of the leaves are reaching up to the sun. Luckily both the bride and groom loved spring, so they snatched up any available date we had in that season, which just happened to be April 21st, 2018.
The ceremony took place down at the pecan trees. I mean where else would such an outdoorsy and woodsy couple want to have their wedding ceremony, other than right in the midst of beautiful mother nature? She takes care of the majority of the decorations for you just by being herself. All Kendal did to add a little oomph to her decorations was rent one of our wine barrels and put a large floral arrangement with a lantern in the center; lining the isle behind the guest ceremony chairs.
Queue the music and here comes Kendal’s bridesmaids over the hill in their floor length sage colored gowns. They all have matching sweetheart necklines with ruffled tops. Kendal on the other hand is in a gorgeous A-Line, fully laced wedding gown with a flattering high sweetheart neckline. In her hands she carries a stunning bouquet from Chelise Moore Flowers full of white roses, chrysanthemums, and silver dollar eucalyptus. Did you know that green is a symbol of nature and new beginnings? Thus why it is so popular to have greenery as filler in wedding bouquets. Plus it adds different shapes and textures to compliment and complete the floral arrangement. Not only that, but it goes along with her color scheme of sage, grey, and cream.
