A Tinder Swipe
Swipe right for yes or left for no. It is just like passing notes in class with a little box that says, “Will you be my girlfriend/boyfriend? Check yes or no.” Except this is a little more technologically advanced with a photo and a little description about the person.
Tinder is an app where both parties have to swipe right and they will be notified that they have been “matched” with someone. You can either ignore it, or communicate with the other person. In this case, a meeting led to an inseparable duo. Thanks to this particular swipe, Alissa and Timothy instantly hit it off with one another. Timothy’s sense of humor was funny and infectious and was topped off with a charming personality; one that matched Alissa’s to a T. Not to mention she’s just so dang adorable!
Three years later the most perfect of all proposals happened. Most of the proposals I’ve written about go a little something like this…Boy meets girl, falls in love with girl and proposes in some beautifully sappy way. Everyone cheers and celebrates (sometimes family even pop out of bushes just like in the movies) 😛 However, this sweet couple did something that I hadn’t seen yet! SHE popped the question! Yasss girl. Take matters into your own hands. If you think he may be dragging his feet then nothing says you can’t just ask him yourself.
So, the two of them were just hanging out in the back yard on the hammock, enjoying the day. All of a sudden Alissa pulls out a ring and completely surprises Timothy by asking him if he will marry her! He is a little shocked by her forwardness, but it only takes him a split second to say yes!
Spring is always a beautiful time of year. Love is in full bloom as well as the grape vines here at A Place in the Vineyard. In June everything is gorgeously green and ready for the season ahead. This sweet Tinder couple knew they wanted to get married at a vineyard. It just fit in with the theme they wanted to create for the wedding. A more natural feel with lots of greenery, wood tones, and cream. They also tossed in some pink for good measure. Needless to say, those are some of my favorite colors to use, and go right along with our rustic, yet elegant venue. Farmhouse tables, exposed beam vaulted ceilings and antique chandeliers nestled amidst the grapevines.
The gazebo was the ideal place for their ceremony. As Timothy, in his navy suit and blush pink tie, waited at the gazebo for his blushing bride to walk down the isle; a light breeze billowing the draped fabric made for the most picture perfect backdrop. Not to mention her statement floral arrangements with blush and cream roses by Designed Memories Florist were absolutely stunning, matching the brides headdress.
